The Nest Pre-School Partnership
We really appreciate all of the schools who partner with us, so let’s get to know more about them and our partnership. Today we are looking at The Nest Pre-school in Keinton Mandeville. The Nest Pre-school takes children from 2-4 years old and is based in a rural setting, so they have a lot of time out on walks, exploring the environment around them, and go to the Church quite regularly. Sports coaching is currently their only extra-curricular activity.
TLE and The Nest Pre-school found each other through a recommendation from Keinton Mandeville School. “We heard about TLE through Keinton Mandeville school, obviously you were highly recommended.” This was back when it was Barton St David Pre-school based in the Village Hall, totally separate from the school, but now they have joined the school and are on site, so are able to use the hall for Dance and Gymnastics and the sports field for the rest of the year.
Mr Hughes is the usual sports educator who attends The Nest Pre-school. He shared his feelings about the partnership saying, “I absolutely love my Friday mornings at the Nest. You will find it difficult to discover a group of children that are so up for giving everything they can a good go and do it with the biggest smile on their face. The staff are also extremely willing to do whatever they can to get the most out of each child, even if it means running or dancing around like a crazy person!”
The manager, Jen, has this to say of our sports educators and what they bring to the Pre-school, “We can’t rate them enough. We really enjoyed having Beccy join us at Barton Pre-school and Mr Hughes, the same. The children absolutely love Mr Hughes. He has been a massive asset since we’ve been here, engages really well with them (the children). We even had one little boy, when it came time for Mr Hughes to go, he cried, he didn’t want Mr Hughes to leave, so, yeah, really positive approach to learning. It’s been brilliant, they really enjoy it in Pre-school.
We love our TLE Pre-school sessions every week. The activities are well planned and cover our curriculum. The children look forward to Friday’s to see Mr Hughes, our coach, he makes it really fun and exciting for our children. We have also seen massive improvement in all areas of the children’s development, and the sessions really promote their gross motor skills.”
We are glad to have such a positive impact on the children within the Pre-school, and hope that they enjoy their time with us. We cannot wait to see what happens with this partnership, and what further expansions await us!
