Springmead Preparatory School Partnership
We really appreciate all of the schools who partner with us, so let’s get to know more about them and our partnership. Today we are looking at Springmead School in Beckington, Frome. Springmead is an independent Prep and Pre-Prep school with a nursery attached as well. The children at Springmead enjoy a number of extra-curricular activities, which makes school life incredibly fun for them. Read on to find out more about our partnership.
TLE and Springmead found each other through teachers having family connections with Jon, the owner and founder of TLE. The partnership has grown and strengthened, and we now do two afternoons of PE for Key Stage 2, and two after school clubs within Springmead. Springmead students attend our Leagues each term, Football, Netball and Rounders, and their children shine on the pitch. You can see what the teachers have been doing with them in their PE lessons!
Mr Emery is the usual sports educator who attends Springmead. He shared his feelings about the partnership saying, “Springmead is an incredible school that I’m lucky enough to be to be a part of. From the truly wonderful staff always being so welcoming, helpful and fun. To the inspiring children with such kind hearts and a positive approach to learning, really help make such a great environment for me to learn and grow, whilst creating a very strong partnership.”
The headteacher, Mrs Cox, has this to say of our sports educators and what they bring to the school, “Currently we have Fletch, Mr Emery. He’s been with us since September 2024 and he comes in for both the sessions. He’s got to know the children really well; he’s got a lovely relationship with them. All of the coaches that we have from TLE have been fantastic. They fit in with the routines of the school, which is brilliant and the biggest thing for me really, is that they get to know the children, get to know the children well, share their enthusiasm and their energy, are really flexible as well. So, if we’ve got things on, or fixtures going, and they are able to attend, they do.
I would highly recommend TLE. The coaches are all professional, experienced and supportive. They are unfailingly enthusiastic, lovely with the children and happy to follow any guidance and procedures that we have in place.”
We are glad to have such a positive impact on the children within the school, and hope that they enjoy their time with us. We cannot wait to see what happens with this partnership, and what further expansions await us!
