How can we best inspire a new generation to be their best self?

We know that the children are our future generation, and we know that they will one day lead this world. As Educators we are not only teaching subjects in schools – we are shaping future leaders, thinkers and resilient human beings, but in a fast paced world how do we give children the practical told they need to build unbreakable confidence, take charge of their health and lead with empathy?

Well, TLE of course! We have five active, engaging courses tailored for schools. Whether you are looking for an impactful full-day experience, a half term curriculum block, or a dynamic after-school club, there courses are built to leave a lasting legacy. Take a look below at these course and just what we can offer you!

Respect For All

In an increasingly diverse world, empathy and respect are essential life skills. This vital course creates a safe, open space to discuss the importance of respecting everyone – regardless of background, ethnicity, social-economic status, gender identity or who they like. Every journey deserves respect.

Key focus areas include:

  • Positive friendships and relationships – understanding how to appreciate differences, lift each other up and respect personal boundaries.
  • Perceptions of differences – confronting common word associations and actively breaking down stereotypes (challenging who ‘should’ do certain jobs)
  • Creating Tue Equality – Exploring what real equality looks like and how we can build a world that offers identical opportunities to all.
  • Educate and Take Action – Students will create a take-home leaflet designed to help anyone navigate misinformation, dispel misunderstanding and calmly educate others.

This is the newest course, and we are very excited to see how this one works within the school system.

Eat To Energise

Good nutrition is not just about health; it transforms how children learn, play and feel. This hands on course cuts through the noise to teach children how nutritious foods fuel every area of their lives.

Mr Tostevin has been working with Somerset Food Champions and what they share to create this course, which is the perfect one day course. Students will not just be looking at a whiteboard – they will actively make and taste highly nutritious foods. They will also learn about:

  • Food Literacy – understanding food labels, breaking down the roles of carbohydrates, proteins and fats and debunking popular ‘healthy’ food myths.
  • Creativity in cooking – Designing a ‘superhero lunchbox’ and creating tasty, nutrient dense meals.
  • Global Citizenship – looking outside the plate to discuss food waste and how we can help the hungry.

Dare To Dream

Big dreams require big resilience. This high-energy day kicks off with an exciting assembly that underlines what it truly means to dream big, believe in yourself and overcome life’s inevitable hurdles.

Mr Tostevin shares his personal journey following a devastating injury shattering his dream of being an Olympic hurdler, but instead of quitting he kept chasing the athlete life and went on to become the third best middleweight bodybuilder at the WNBF World Championships in 2024!

Following on from the assembly the children go to their classrooms and dive into some workshops throughout the day:

  • Self-Discovery and Confidence – exploring personal passions, enthusiasm and building self-belief.
  • Mindset Shifts – Cultivating a growth mindset and finding strength in being uniquely yourself.
  • Strategic Success – Overcoming challenges, understanding who you want to be and setting/tracking short, medium and long term SMART goals.

Not sure what a SMART goal is? Take a look at this TLE Education – Attachment and see what SMART goals you can set yourself.

Sleep Is Your Superpower

We often talk to the children about diet and exercise, but sleep is the ultimate foundation of well-being. This eye-opening day uses fascinating facts to help children view sleep not as a chore, but as a superpower.

Through an engaging introductory assembly and interactive workshops, children will discover:

  • The science of sleep – intriguing facts about the phenomenon of rest.
  • The benefits vs the costs – how high-quality sleep makes you smarter, stronger and happier – and how poor sleep drains your potential.
  • Sleep hygiene – Practical steps to ‘sleep like a superhero’ and establish consistent routine.

This is the perfect course for children who struggle to wake up in the morning, after following an evening of struggling to settle and fall asleep, maybe the children could share the information with the parents, so they can sleep better too!
