Louise Leadbeater

I live in Shepton, but I’m originally from Newcastle. I used to be a Vet Nurse but now I am a TA. I am married with two grown up boys. I love building dens, train tracks, messy play and dressing up. I also love a Christmas film – any day of the year!
Date you started with the company – September 2023.
School you work in – Shepton Mallet Infants.
What is the best activity to teach? Breakfast club – wake up exercises.
What is the best thing about teaching? I am generally more classroom based but one of the best things is when you are working with a child who is struggling with something, and you see that lightbulb moment when they totally get it – just fantastic.
What makes you happy at work? Having fun with children and colleagues. Feeling proud of what they can achieve.
What do you look forward to on a work day? Being happy – see above answer.
What is your guilty pleasure TV show? Race Across the World but also love The Traitors, Taskmaster and The Office.
What is your go to karaoke song? The Sound of Silence (lol) or for a blast from the last Wilson Phillips Hold On.
What’s you go to film? Steve McQueen’s Papillon.
What’s your favourite board game? Fishy/ Herd Mentality or if I have several hours a good game of Monopoly (but I will cheat if I’m the Banker)
Which team member do you think is most likely to be an undercover secret agent? Most likely to be myself but only on days that end with a y.
If our team came to your place for dinner, what would you cook? Probably a couple of different curries with all the sides.
What is your favourite club we run at wraparound? I help with Arts and Crafts and Science, and I enjoy both – we often look to combine the two days – one of my favourites was making a volcano in arts and crafts and then blowing it up in science.
